Research Scientist,
Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, Korea
has been graduated from Novosibirsk State University, Novosibirsk, Russia, 1976 in physics and applied mathematics (experimental physics: the parametric excitation of waves on the surface of liquid).
Carrier. He was with Institute of Automation and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IA&E) from 1976 to 2000. Currently he is with Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) as a research scientist; he also was here from 2000 to 2002. During several years he was with the Research Institute of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea as a research professor.
Research interests. 3D image processing, 3D display devices, geometric projective model of 3D display, voxel method, visual quality of 3D displays, moiré minimization, image cells in multiview and integral imaging, measurement of geometric parameters of 3D displays, digital holography.
Memberships. Mr. Saveljev is the member of the Optical Society of America (OSA), Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Society for Information Display, Korean Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Korean Physical Society, Optical Society of Korea, Korean Information Display Society, Dictionary Team, Pure Land Buddhism.
Sitizenship. Since October 2008, Saveljev is the citizen of the Republic of Korea. There were 86 Korean mass media reports about this matter including 15 interviews in newspapers, 5 magazines, and 2 TV.
Special achievements. Deputy Director General of the International Biographic Centre, reviewer for an international journal and peer-reviewed conference, member of 3D Research Group of the Korean Information Display Society and the Program Subcommittee of international conferences. He is the author and coauthor of more than 100 publications including book chapters.
Awards. He is listed in Who’s Who in the World (2009 - 2011) and Who’s Who in Asia 2012 as a representative of the physical science. Other international awards for his contribution in 3D displays include Top 100 Scientists 2009, Great Minds of the 21st Century, 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century 2009/2010, Lifetime Achievement, Gold Medal for Korea.
